$5.2bn Fine: MTN Chief Executive Resigns

The troubled Chief Executive of MTN Nigeria, Sifiso Dabengwa has resigned his appointment over the $5.2bn (£3.4bn) fine imposed on the telecommunications company by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).The Chief Executive in a statement said, “Due to the most unfortunate prevailing circumstances occurring at MTN Nigeria, I, in the interest of the company and its shareholders, have tendered my resignation with immediate effect.
