The Time Is Now; Let’s Make a Better Nigeria!

By Correspondent

Knowing when to admit one is wrong isn’t a matter of weakness; it is a matter of strength. If we are to make a better Nigeria we need to admit it when we see something is going wrong and discuss it intelligently to create a possible solution. We have to do better than just making invalid arguments and criticisms, but actually take time to study the situation and make valid  actions regarding it.Beyond political parties and criticism, we need to become genuinely interested in the affairs and growth of our country. We need to make arguments and points because we actually believe what we are saying is true not because of propaganda or because we are scared to admit failure. It is admirable to stand by our decision and principles, but beyond that we should focus on how our country will grow, ask intelligent questions and critique when we need to. Critiquing is quite different from criticizing; raining curses and abuses on our political leaders, will do us no good; abusing one anther won’t make the country any better, instead using the social media fora, groups, media online outlets to intelligently criticize and proffer solutions will actually do us some good. It is also important to know that ”˜blind faith’ won’t help us either. In as much as, we need to have faith in our leaders it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t ask questions and admit when things are going wrong in our country. Our current economic situation in this country can be better, but we need to change our attitude towards the situation, we don’t have to ramble in frustration or denial, we need to come up with strategic solutions and ideas as individuals and Nigerians as a whole; we don’t have to leave the problem to our leaders alone, if we have a possible solution, we can voice it out through our various commentary forums and help make a difference. In our various fields of work, let’s do something that will directly or indirectly influence the country positively, let’s pray for our country and keep our focus on making a better Nigeria. As we strive to do so, we are not only securing our future, we are also securing the future of the generations to come. It’s time this country became better; it’s time we became developed, it’s time we ruled the world; we only need to change our attitude and focus our goal on nothing but a better Nigeria.God bless us. God bless Nigeria.
