Abia Government Raises Alarm over Alleged Illegal Swearing-in of Otti

The Government of Abia State, has raised the alarm, over alleged moves to swear in Dr. Alex Otti of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), as the new governor today (Monday). It would be recalled that the Court of Appeal had declared Otti as winner of the governorship election held in the state. Specifically, the Appellate Court issued an order directing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to give Otti his certificate of return. According to a statement issued by the state’s Information Commissioner, Bonnie Iwuoha, the state government warned that those planning to swear in Otti illegally should desist from such act.
