American University to Assist Unilorin on Prostate Cancer Research

The University of Florida Cancer Centre, United States of America has shown commitment in partnering with the University of Ilorin on prostate cancer research. Prof. Mrs. Folakemi Odedina, the Director, University of Florida Health Cancer Centre mentioned this when she paid a visit to the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Professor Abdul Ganiyu Ambali. Odedina presented a letter inviting him, and his management team, to the American university for collaboration and signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two institutions. She explained that the international conference on prostate cancer was being planned and would be hosted by the University of Ilorin. The university’s VC, Prof. Ambala disclosed that the university recently completed a central research laboratory, and boasts of talented individuals and resources that would be made available for the research collaboration with Florida University.
