Anti-corruption Fight: suspension of Lawal and Oke confirms President Buhari’s resolve-Group

The Buhari Media Support Group (BMSG) has applauded action taken by President Muhammadu Buhari in the ”˜Ikoyi N13 billion’ saga. They said the president has, by that, proven his resolve to fight corruption.The group made this observation in a statement issued today in Abuja and signed by its Protem Chairman Hon. Austin Braimoh and Secretary, Chief Cassidy Madueke.BMSG said that the action which includes the suspension of the Director General of National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Ayo Oke based on allegations that the money recovered by the EFCC was purportedly kept by the agency. This depicts PMB’s statement when he took his oath of office that “he is for nobody but for everybody’’.The group said that the suspensions would lead to a thorough investigation of the allegations, just as it would lend credence to the transparent war the Federal Government is waging against corruption.They also noted the immediate suspension of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Babachir Lawal based on allegations of  violating the law and abuse of due process in the award of contracts for the Presidential Initiative on North East, saying it was a right step in the right direction.
