Buratai Promises to Arrest Colonel’s Killers

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai has promised to see to the arrest of those behind the killing of the abducted Colonel Samaila Inusa who was buried at the old Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) burial ground in Kaduna on Wednesday. He was laid to rest according to Muslim rites, after which he was given military honour with three gun salutes. Buratai made a vow that the killers would be arrested and would be made to face the law. The Army chief who was represented by the Chief of Administration at the Army Headquarters, Maj-Gen. Ado Abubakar. According to Buratai, ”˜Col. Inusa was a great soldier. We feel the pains, though death is inevitable and nobody can run away from it. I came in to represent my boss, the chief of Army Staff because the Army is mourning one of us that has served this country greatly and we are not happy the way he died. But whatever happens, we shall see to the end of it all.’
