CJ Orders Judge to Continue Hearing of Forgery Suit

By Correspondent

Contrary to insinuations that Justice S. M. Shuaibu of the Federal High Court sitting in Owerri has been stopped from entertaining the alleged forgery case against the governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, the Chief Judge (CJ) of the Federal High Court, Justice Ibrahim Auta, has directed that the trial judge should continue and conclude the matter. The CJ, therefore, ordered Justice Shuaibu to return to Owerri and continue with the hearing of the legal war initiated by a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alongside the party’s governorship aspirant in the last election, Chief Friday Nwosu. Ikpeazu is being accused of submitting fake tax certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
