Denmark Prime Minister assaulted, Man Arrested

Denmark Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen has been attacked by an unnamed male assailant.According to reports, the assault took place on a square in the centre of the city of Kultovert in Copenhagen.“Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen was beaten on Friday evening at Kultorvet (square, red.) in Copenhagen by a man who was subsequently arrested. The Prime Minister is shocked by the incident,” her office said in a statement without giving further detail.“We have made an arrest in the case, which we are now investigating. We currently have no further comments or observations on the matter,” the Denmark police said on X.The attack comes two days before Denmark and the rest of Europe votes in the EU election.The assailant has been arrested.
