Didier Deschamps has taken critical action against Karim Benzema on Thursday as he constituted his squad without the Real Madrid forward for three major matches in subsequent month. The 29-year-old Benzema has been entangled in an alleged connection with a sex tape misconduct involving Mathieu Valbuena, and the striker has been out of the French team since October 2015.This week, Benzema and former teammate, Valbuena exchanged words and another Instagram post showed Benzema liked ridiculous pictures of Deschamps and striker Olivier Giroud. It was also found out that Benzema was playing an intermediate role in the whole episode of personality attack on Valbuena and the matter could be sorted out in a court later in the year.Deschamps lamented Benzema’s recent predicament and said: “I would say only one word: it’s pitiful.”“The French team was built before the Euro (last summer), it was consolidated through the competition, where we managed to reach the final,” he added of Benzema’s continued omission.“We have continued to be competitive in qualifying. I have a group with balance and harmony.” He said. The French team has Paraguay to take on in a friendly game at home on June 2; away to Sweden in an important World Cup qualifier, come June 9 and finally host England in a friendly in Paris on June 13.The French team features Lyon predator Alexandre Lacazette who returns in place of Atletico Madrid’s Kevin Gameiro; meanwhile Tottenham Hotspur’s Moussa Sissoko substitutes Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayoko.Bakayoko currently manages his playing time using a mask to guard his broken nose.Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe has his time to play at the frontline and also giving a space for Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma. The possible French squad:Goalkeepers: Alphonse Areola (Paris SG), Benoit Costil (Rennes), Hugo Lloris (Tottenham/ENG)Defenders: Lucas Digne (Barcelona/ESP), Christophe Jallet (Lyon), Presnel Kimpembe (Paris SG), Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal/ENG), Benjamin Mendy (Monaco), Djibril Sidibe (Monaco), Samuel Umtiti (Barcelona/ESP), Raphael Varane (Real Madrid/ESP), Kurt Zouma (Chelsea/ENG)Midfielders: N’Golo Kanté (Chelsea/ENG), Blaise Matuidi (Paris SG), Paul Pogba (Manchester United/ENG), Adrien Rabiot (Paris SG), Moussa Sissoko (Tottenham/ENG), Corentin Tolisso (Lyon)Attackers: Ousmane Dembele (Dortmund/GER), Olivier Giroud (Arsenal/ENG), Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid/ESP), Alexandre Lacazette (Lyon), Thomas Lemar (Monaco), Kylian Mbappe (Monaco), Dimitri Payet (Marseille), Florian Thauvin (Marseille)
