I Don’t Know the Deceased Lawyer, Witness Notifies Court

By Correspondent

The suspected killer of Kunle Fadipe, a human rights lawyer, has informed the Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja, that he did not know the deceased lawyer while alive, so, he should not be responsible for his death. The suspected killer, Oluwaseun Oladapo, also pointed accusing fingers at the Nigeria Police for doctoring the evidence tendered as exhibits as he claimed he could not write in English language, even as he responds to questions asked in English. Oladapo is standing trial for killing Fadipe on July 4, 2014, at No 1, Harmony Estate, Ifako-Ijaiye, Iju, Lagos. While being led in evidence by his lawyer, Worer Oduagbaka, the witness informed the court that he did not tell the police that he used a knife taken from the deceased’s kitchen to stab him to death. He further denied before Justice Oluwatoyin Ipaye that he demanded the sum of N500,00 (Five hundred thousand Naira) from the deceased. The judge adjourned further hearing in the matter to March 11, 2016.
