DSS delivers the 21 rescued Chibok girls to their families to celebrate the festivities

The 21 rescued Chibok girls are to enjoy the Yuletide and New Year festivities with their parents. This was disclosed by the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the President, Mallam Garba Shehu.

Shehu who stated this on his Facebook page said the rescued girls have been already been taken to their respective families by the Department of State Security (DSS).He also dismissed the rumours that other Chibok girls have been rescued saying the ones seen at Yola were the ones rescued in October.He however revealed that negotiations were still ongoing to secure the release of the remaining Chibok girls and Nigerians held captive by the Boko Haram terrorist group.He however expressed optimism that the DSS would succeed.The Federal Government in October successfully secured the release of the 21 Chibok schoolgirls after months of negotiation with their captors.
