Federal Government Renovates 25 police stations and schools destroyed by Boko Haram in Adamawa

The Federal Government on Sunday announced that it had rebuilt and renovated not less than 25 police stations and 25 schools destroyed by the Boko Haram terrorist group in Adamawa State.

Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal revealed this at the Christmas Carol Service held at St. Theresa’s Cathedral, Jimeta, Yola.He further stated that the priorities of the cardinal were to promote peace and security of lives and properties in order to promote economic development.”˜So far, the Federal Government has renovated and rebuilt not less than 25 schools destroyed by Boko Haram in seven local government areas of Adamawa. Similarly, we were able to rebuild the same number of police stations in the affected areas’, Mr. Lawal said.He also noted that the President had approved the reconstruction of four federal roads in the 2017 budget which were listed as Yola-Mubi, Mararaba Mubi-Gwoza, Numan-Cham (Gombe) and Numan-Jalingo.Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara advocated a synergy between all arms of the government in order to move the country forward. He also urged Nigerians to support the government regardless of political and regional affiliation.The service also had many dignitaries and clerics in attendance who preached peace and tolerance among the diverse people of the country.
