In Nigeria and for the most part of the world, there will be an Easter holiday; where Christians (including other citizens) are given the days off to celebrate Easter; which is actually a celebration of the story of Jesus Christ and his resurrection after death. Because of this event, most places of work including schools will give the days off (from Friday to Monday) thus giving people the opportunity to enjoy the holiday. For most Christians who actually celebrate Easter, they might already have lots of church related events scheduled. Since the break extends to everybody and not just Christian’s one can use the holiday to focus on things that have personal meanings to us and will linger in our memory for a lifetime. Tips on things to do:After going to church and attending various church programs in the case of Christians, you can also use the time to reflect on the bible and what meanings of occurrence mean to you. You can also use the period as a quiet time to read your bible and meditate on its teachings. Added to that, you can use this holiday to reflect on your own meaning as a person and the essence of your existence. Beyond that, this holiday is a time where everyone can sleep for longer hours as compared to when they have to go to work, take siesta that they might have missed and go out to feel the heat of the sun on the skin; especially for workers who rarely see the afternoon because they are busy at work.In addition, you can use this holiday to achieve things you are probably too busy to do during the week; maybe a project you are embarking on or read a book or simply watch movies; something that will add value to you and also make you happy. This holiday is also a perfect time to partake in existing traditions; like the popular egg games during Easter; you can decorate your eggs or even have an egg hunt with friends. You can also form new traditions with your friends and family. Added to that, you can also travel to other places to visit friends and family or even visit a city you have always loved to see. Either you choose to watch a movie, have a family dinner or embark on a project, whatever you choose to do, try and create fun memories; bond with families and accomplish things that have personal meanings to you.
