Iheanacho Makes Champions League Debut

By Correspondent

Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho made his UEFA Champions League debut for Manchester City for Wednesday, playing less than two minutes in their 3-1 win against Dynamo Kiev at the Stadion NSK Olimpiyskiy. Iheanacho came off the bench in the 90th minute for Sergio Aguero, who opened the scoring for the Citizens as they secured a priceless away victory in their round of 16 outing against Serhiy Rebrov’s men putting them in pole position for the quarter finals. Manuel Pellegrini’s men bounced back from their humiliating 5-1 defeat to Chelsea on Sunday in the FA Cup, with Aguero needing just 15 minutes to open the scoring, with David Silva getting the second strike. Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure sealed the win with a well-worked finish in the closing stages of the match.
