Melaye appears in academic gown at Senate plenary

Chairman of the Senate Committee on FCT, Senator Dino Melaye (APC, Kogi West) surprised everyone at the senate Tuesday morning when he came in an academic gown.Melaye, who arrived at the red chambers about 10:30am has been in public glare over the issue of his certificate which he claimed to have been issued by the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.The Vice Chancellor of ABU, Professor Ibrahim Garba had already cleared Melaye of any wrongdoing on Monday when he visited the senate over the issue, since the latter graduated at the institution with a third class grade.
