Mother of Taraba Deputy Governor Abducted

The mother of the Taraba State Deputy Governor, Hajiya Hauwa-Belli Manu, has been abducted. Making this known, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Joseph Kwaji, said reports from the Mutum-Biyu headquarters of Gassol Local Government Area of the state, revealed that the apparently elderly woman was taken away by gunmen from the family home of the Deputy Governor at about 9pm on Monday. While adding that the whereabouts of the elderly woman is yet to be ascertained on the reason that the abductors were yet to communicate with anybody, Kwaji added that the police command had deployed additional detectives in the area to assist in tracking the culprits.
