Naira experiences slight appreciation at Interbank Market

The naira showed a slight appreciation against the dollar yesterday at the Interbank Market gaining 25k to exchange N305. According to NAN, the naira closed at N305.25 on Tuesday.

At the floor of the Bureau De Change (BDC), the naira sold at N399 to a dollar, while the pound sterling and euro closed at N585 and N506 respectively. In the parallel market, the naira continues to drop, closing at N480 to a dollar while the pound sterling and euro traded at N580 and N505 respectively.Harris Owoh, a BDC operator said the drop in the sales of foreign currencies to BDC for over the past 2 weeks is as a result of decreased inflow into the country.
