Nigerian Army Rescues 11, 595 Civilians Held Captive by Boko Haram

  The Nigerian Army revealed that it has rescued over 11,000 civilians held captive at various territories by the Boko Haram sect. The Army explained that operations that rescued the captives were carried out within the past six weeks. Meanwhile the troops say that they have intensified their efforts to clear and mop up all insurgent activities in the north east. The military further stated that the rescue operations were carried out across the regions with different outposts and that a significant number of them were received from Cameroonian authorities.
