Nine VCs Replaced, Not Sacked

The Secretary-General, Committee of Vice-Chancellors (CVC), Michael Faborode, has disclosed that his nine colleagues reportedly removed on Saturday were not sacked, instead their tenures expired on February 15. Speaking to newsmen in Abuja, Faborode said it would not be fair to say nine of the 12 vice-chancellors were sacked. Earlier, reports had indicated that the Federal Government had sacked the Vice-Chancellors of 12 Federal Universities that were established by the administration of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.
