Court of Appeal Throws out Nnamdi Kanu’s Bail Application

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja on Wednesday threw out the appeal filed by the troubled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mr Nnamdi Kanu together with two other pro-Biafra agitators, David Nwawusi and Benjamin Madubugwu.They had approached the upper court to query what they described as the “strange procedure” utilised in their trial before the Federal High Court in Abuja.The defendants are currently proffering answers to a six-count charge that touches on treason made against them by the Federal Government.The trio had in their consolidated appeal argued that the trial judge, Justice John Tsoho was biased in not only declining to grant them bail, but equally allowed the prosecution to shield the identity of eight witnesses slated to testify in the ”Žmatter.
