Notorious Kidnapper/armed robber ‘arrested’ in Ogoniland, Rivers

A statement on Tuesday morning by the Governor’s spokesman, Simeon Nwaka reports that Spring is currently being interrogated at the Rivers State Police Command headquarters and has made useful confessions on several criminal activities in Ogoniland.Spring is alleged to be responsible for several killings, kidnappings and armed robbery in Ogoniland. Meanwhile, there are reports that some politicians in the state have stormed the Rivers State Police Command to effect the release of Spring.“As at press time, several opposition politicians in the state are at the Rivers State Police Command to effect the release of Spring.“It was gathered that the opposition leaders in Rivers State stormed the Rivers State Police Command in company of a senior police officer from Abuja,” the statement claimed.But confirmation from the state police command, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, in the state, DSP Nnamdi Omoni indicates that he is not aware of the arrest of one Spring as being reported.He said that he is “yet to ”Žbe informed about the arrest of anybody.
