Number Portability Infraction: NCC Fines Glo, MTN N34m

MTN Nigeria, and Globacom Limited, have been jointly fined by the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC), a total sum of N34 million for breach of the Mobile Number Portability business rules and regulations. NCC made this declaration in its “2015 Q4 Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Reports.’’ Specifically, NCC revealed that Globacom was fined N22 million, while MTN was fined N12 million.
