Leke AdemoMany people have learnt a few things about Olajumoke and her grass to grace story. The first time I heard something like this, it was Joseph Jacob that it happened to. He was a prisoner after which he became the Prime Minister. He was practically in charge. The story of Daniel is another of such; a slave in a foreign land became a decision maker. David’s story is another one that moved me. He was nowhere to be found when Samuel was looking for the person to make king, but God chose him. Olajumoke became a celebrity overnight. But was it really overnight? We only saw the manifestation like we did with that of Joseph. We did not see the years of toil, seed sowing and prayers that Olajumoke must have put into her life. She might have been a bread hawker, but now she is a celebrity. Funnily, as I was going to the bank to withdraw, I saw a bread hawker, she passed beside me, apparently, I was holding my phone as though I was going to snap. Thoughts ran through my mind: “what was this woman thinking, did she think I was another TY Bello? I thought and felt I should write about the experience. I couldn’t withdraw money because I left my ATM card somewhere else, that happened because my business cards overshadowed it. It happened that way, thank God I got inspired to write. Olajumoke recently featured on CNN, that’s a dramatic change of level. In all, I think it’s a function of grace. Who’s next?
