We Owed Amodu Two Months’ Salary, NFF Admits

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF on Monday admitted that it owed late Shuaibu Amodu two months’ salary.

Amodu was the Technical Director of the NFF and a four-time Super Eagles coach till his death. The late Amodu died in his sleep in the early hours of Saturday. Moments after his death, a former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Peterside Idah said the late coach had informed him before his demise that he was being owed seven months’ salary by the federation. The NFF General Secretary, Mohammed Sanusi today confirmed that the federation is indeed owing the late coach, but it isn’t seven months as claimed by Idah. “NFF Gen. Sec, Mohammed Sanusi has confirmed the Federation is owing late Coach Shuaibu Amodu salaries for two (2) months.” He stated further that Amodu’s family will be paid his entitlements. “Every member of NFF Management is being owed salaries for two (2) months. The NFF will pay all monies due late Amodu to his family.”
