Plans to borrow 30 billion dollars condemned by Emir Sanusi

Lamido Sanusi , the Emir of Kano State criticized the plans of the president to borrow 30 billion dollars for the country. The ex-governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) said such a loan would be difficult to grant since the country has five exchange rates.Image result for Lamido Sanusi , the Emir of KanoThe president in October forwarded a request to the National Assembly to approve borrowing externally to fund projects for the country between 2016 and 2018 to which Mr. Sanusi objected that if the request is eventually granted, no financial institution would loan such money.He also stated that the nation’s exchange rates weren’t credible and hence weren’t trusted by foreign financial bodies and he urged the government to stop over depending on China as they were responsible for the ruin of the country’s textile industry.Ex-governor of Anambra state, Mr. Peter Obi also advised the government to drastically reduce the cost of governance and adopt a newer attitude to it.
