Are you in pursuit of a career, goal, vision or purpose? Focus will make you  excel in your pursuit. Focus is power, and inspires self-discipline, will-power, passion, enthusiasm. Vision, dreams, goals, and purpose are abstract until you are committed to them by keeping your focus alive. Focus gives flesh to the idea; it concretizes the abstract.What is focus? Focus is a basic tenet in photography, and it is practically married to sharpness. Photographers describe focus as the position at which rays of light from a lens converge to form a clear and sharply defined image on a focal plane, or the action of adjusting the distance between the lens and subject to make light rays converge to form a clearer and sharply defined image of the subject. An image that is completely sharp is said to be in-focus. This metaphor applies to the mind and life’s race. When you concentrate, your mind is sharp. You are focused. On the other hand, lack of focus leads to confusion, which is described as blurriness in photography.Though the distance between where you are and where you have envisioned yourself to be seems distant in miles, you can harness the power of focus to adjust the distance, by concentrating your energy, knowledge and strength on the object or subject. You can give your career, business, and work the turbo speed by focus.What is the power of focus? What do you get by being focused? We’ll discuss this by using FOCUS as an acronym.

Several things beckon on our attention almost every minute. As a result, the mind is always occupied thinking about one thing or the other: both necessary and unnecessary things. And a burdened mind weakens not only the heart, but also the body. This is the reason you are sometimes moody, restless and unnecessarily weak from within, reducing your efficiency in the most important tasks.By identifying your goal and focusing on it, you are freed from the distractions that project themselves as urgent and important. You may never discover your ability and vibe until you concentrate your light on the vision or goal. Your focus determines your reality, which eventually sets you free. Where there is focus, there is orderliness. As you concentrate your efforts on a thing per time, it gives you the leeway in your strategy and planning.When there is direction, there is order. You know what to do per time. You easily identify wastes and channel them to beneficial resources.

As mentioned earlier, focus in photography brings about the sharpness of the subject on the focal plate. Similarly, as you focus on your subject, it is magnified, giving you a sharp and clear picture of the entity. There is clarity in your perception, understanding, strategies and the expected results.Your eyes are the windows into your body. If you open them wide in wonder and belief of your defined goal, your body fills up with light. You become bold about your pursuit, assured of its success and benefits. You become alive and energized to take the leap, having exposed all obstacles and hurdles.Sometimes, many find it difficult to pursue a goal because of the fear of the unknown. However, as you focus, and the subject is magnified, you will begin to find the potential obstacles and hinderances in the journey, and know how to escape them.

Nothing can overcome a focused man. No matter how strong and mighty it may seem. This is because he doesn’t only know about upcoming challenges, but also prepared to face and overcome them. His gaze is always on his goal, nothing can take him out of there.Even when hurt, he shoes himself and gallops on through the dusty rugged road. Life is victorious when there is focus.
