President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday met with Principal Officers of the Nigerian Senate and the House of Representatives at the State House few hours ago.

The meeting is to settle the issues concerning the 2016 budget.

Present at the meeting were President Buhari, Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Speaker House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara. Others include Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu and some other top government officials.

Senate President, Bukola Saraki in his reaction said the meeting was a productive one.

Saraki stated this via his official Twitter account @bukolasaraki.

“We had quite a productive meeting tonight between the leadership of the National Assembly and President Muhammadu Buhari.”
