The government of Rivers state has announced a 3 day fasting to seek out God’s intervention for tranquillity and social order for the upcoming state re-run elections on December 10th 2016.

The state Commissioner for Information, Mr. Austin Tam-George made this statement yesterday in Port-Harcourt. According to the commissioner, the fasting would hold from December 7th to December 9th.He also encouraged the Rivers state people to partake in peace-promoting activities and shun social violence during the election.
