Tax Case: French Investigators Raids Google’s Paris HQ

News all over the media says French investigators are raiding Google’s (GOOGL.O) Paris headquarters as part of a probe over tax payments. There are reports that investigators have been probing Google’s offices in central Paris since 0500 am (0300 GMT). All attempts to contact a spokesman for Google were not successful as they were not immediately available for comment.France has criticised Google for its use of aggressive tax optimisation techniques, and it is also seeking 1.6 billion euros ($1.79 billion) in back taxes from the U.S. Internet giant.
