Today’s Message: Peace in Troubled Waters

Experiencing Peace in troubled Waters
It is possible to be in tribulations yet be at great peace in those tribulations. It is possible to be dry in the midst of an ocean, depending on where one is.
In what are you?
One man in the waters of the ocean would be wet, another in his cabin in an ocean liner or in an unsinkable raft will be dry. The location of both men is the same ocean, but who is dry or wet, who is dead or safe, will depend on what each one is ‘in.’ Jesus says,
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
“In me … peace; …in the world … tribulation.”
Peace is not the absence of storms
Jesus has overcome, but that does not take tribulations away from those in the world who follow Him. In spite of the tribulations, they have to have “good cheer” founded on the consciousness of the victory that the Master has won.
God told me a long time ago, “Peace is not the absence of storms but the presence of God in the midst of the storms.” Shalom.
