Jihadist Group Claims Responsibility for UN Attack

A Jihadist group, Ansar Dine (Defenders of the faith), has claimed responsibility for the attacks carried out on Saturday on a United Nations (UN) base in Mali.The attack was reported to have taken the lives of two UN peace keepers alongside one civilian contractor.The group argued that, “The attack was in response to the violation of our lands by the enemies of Islam.”
