The Federal Government has issued appointment letters to 164 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members who bagged presidential awards between 2012 and 2014, through the Federal Civil Service Commission. Mrs. Joan Ayo, Chairman, Federal Civil Service Commission presented the employment letters to the recipients at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja, adding that the employment was based purely on merit. Nine ex-corps members who sustained injuries during their service year were also enlisted in the federal service under the ”˜NYSC Hope Alive scheme’. The FCSC Chairman said; “We are proud to enlist you into the Federal Civil Service because you have demonstrated those core values. Your appointment is based on merit and therefore, it has nothing to do with federal character. The appointment is also devoid of any political Influence and as such ”Žyou are expected to carry out your duty without any political affiliation.”
