Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has accused the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government of taking the country one step closer to a totalitarian regime.
The former minister arrived at the conclusion sequel to Buhari’s justification of his administration’s refusal to allow former National Security Adviser, Ibrahim Dasuki, and others to enjoy the bail granted them by the court.
“We are not yet in a democracy,” Fani-Kayode said.
“How can a president not feel bad that court orders are not being obeyed?
“I am worried by the fact that the president is trying to be the prosecutor, the jury and the judge.
“First, he does not believe that they should be granted bail. He will not allow them to enjoy the bail granted them. I am worried. He has taken us one step closer to a totalitarian regime.”
