After injuring his shin, Chelsea striker, Diego Costa, was on Saturday hospitalised.
Chelsea’s interim manager, Guus Hiddink revealed that the development took place after his side’s 3-3 draw with Everton.
According to Hiddink, “He’s in the hospital and they will have a scan. We don’t know the result yet and I hope it’s not bad. It’s on his shin. He was in a lot of pain, that’s true.”
It would be recalled that the 27-year old Costa was replaced by Loic Remy in the 80th minute after hurting himself in a challenge on Leighton Baines.
The injured Costa earlier hit the net in the 64th minute to spark a comeback that saw Chelsea come from 2-0 down to level.
