6.7 magnitude earthquake hit Indonesian village

News Agency of Nigeria has reported that Russia’s Far Eastern Kamchatka Peninsula, TASS has been hit by a powerful earthquake.A local agency helping out with information about effort by local emergencies has said there is no threat of tsunami.“According to preliminary information, no injuries or damage as a result of the earthquake have been reported, no tsunami threat has been declared. All essential services of the region are working as normal,” according to the ministry’s press service.There are rescuers surveying the region to ascertain if any houses or other buildings were affected. Affected Ust-Kamchatsky district has a task force on ground working for them.The earthquake, with an epicenter of about 40kilometers from the coast line, measured a 6.7 magnitude according to seismologists who said the natural disaster was recorded at 7:09 Moscow time (5:09 GMT).The impacts were felt in many villages of the Ust-Kamcharsky district with the magnitude of between 2 and 6.
