A tragic incident played out on Monday as a seven-year-old girl, simply identified as Zainab, was allegedly tortured to death by her stepmother in Kaduna state.
While reports remain sketchy, It was gathered that the unnamed woman had been torturing the minor for quite some time.The last straw that broke the camel’s back was when the stepmother beat her until she finally gave up the ghost.Efforts to speak with the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, in the state, ASP Aliyu Usman, proved abortive as he could not answer the phone calls put across to him as at the time of filing this report.
