Boko Haram Driven to Backside Position- Buhari

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday maintained that the country, no doubt has recorded remarkable feat in its determination towards ending insurgency. Making this known at a meeting with the Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN), Ban Ki-Moon on the sidelines of the World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi, the President noted that in collaboration with the Multinational Joint Task Force, the Nigerian Armed Forces have succeeded in chasing away the terrorist group from the Nigerian territory into “fall-back positions”. According to a statement issued by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, President Buhari said, “They are currently not holding any territory today as we speak.” Responding, the UN scribe who commended Buhari’s courage in his government’s war against terrorism and corruption, argued that Nigeria has made amazing progress against terrorism since the President assumed office.
