Breaking: Boko Haram attacks Borno Vilage, 3 feared killed, many injured

Boko Haram gunmen had on Sunday afternoon invaded Yaza-Kumaza village in southern part of Borno state, killing at least three persons and displacing many others, local security sources have revealed according to DAILY POST.

According to a local vigilante official in the area, Michael Emmanuel, the attackers stormed the village at about 4pm.He said many of the villagers who ran into nearby bushes amid shooting by the Boko Haram attackers, have not returned to their homes as at 10pm when he spoke with the press.“A Boko Haram group entered Yaza-Kumaza which is very close to Lassa town and killed three people,” he said“Many people have escaped into the bush and up till now it is only few people that have returned to the attacked village after the gunmen had left.”Mr. Emmanuel said most of the houses in the village were looted.Boko Haram fighters have in recent weeks continued to attack villages in that part of southern Borno despite military presence in the area.
