Buhari apologises to Bauchi state over cancelled visit

President Muhammadu Buhari has apologized to the people of Bauchi State for cancelling a visit to the state billed for Thursday. He blamed the reason on poor weather conditions.

He was due to commission a newly constructed Air Force Reference Hospital at Bauchi Air Force base and other projects executed by the administration of Governor Mohammed Abubakar.Shaban Sharada, an aide to the president informed the governor of the decision to cancel the trip.It is the second time in a month that the president cancelled his trip to the state.He was supposed to travel there on December 13 but it was postponed due to his need to travel to Banjul, Gambia.The governor thanked the people of Bauchi who were eager to receive the president and appealed to them to turn up en masse whenever he visited the state.
