The Federal Capital Territory High Court has ordered the removal of Acting Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus. The Court, presided over by Justice Hussein Baba specifically directed the sacked chairman to move out of office within 14 days. The judge arrived at the decision sequel to an action initiated by the former Special Adviser to immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan on Political Matters, Ahmed Gulak. Justice Baba declared that Secondus assumed the leadership of the opposition PDP through an illegitimate process. In the said suit, Gulak questioned the emergence of Secondus as the interim leader of the party. He then urged the court to remove Secondus, even as he argued that going by the constitution of the PDP’s zoning arrangement, he (Gulak), was the proper person that should have replaced the last Chairman of the party, Adamu Muazu, who hailed from the North-East geopolitical zone.
