The Speaker of the House of Assembly, Delta State, Chief Monday Igbuya announced the death of one of its female law makers, Mrs. Owamumi Udoh who represented the Warri South 1 constituency.

It was gathered that she died from a protracted illness at a London hospital.In a statement signed by the Speaker’s Chief Secretary, Mr. Henry Ebirebi, Mrs. Udoh was described as a fearless woman who was also a dogged, grassroots fighter.”˜I wish to convey to you the deepest condolence of the Delta House of Assembly in an emotion laden voice. It is really hard to believe’.According to him, Mrs. Udoh’s death is a huge loss to the state as she helped build a bridge of hope and unity. She was admired for her wit, charm, vision and steadfast devotion to her political associates and family.The speaker also prayed to God to grant her soul eternal rest and also extended condolences to members of her family.Mrs. Udoh was born in 1960 and became a member of the House of Assembly in 2003 under the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).
