The Federal GovÂernment yesterday failed to produce the former National SeÂcurity Adviser (NSA), Col Sambo Dasuki (rtd) before a Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court at Maitama for triÂal in the money launderÂing and breach of trust charges brought against him and others since last year.
Dasuki, who was charged along with five others before Justice PeÂter Affen, was granted bail when he was first arÂraigned but re-arrested and had been kept in cusÂtody of the State Security Services (SSS) since last December.Others who are being prosecuted along with the former NSA with respect to charges of diÂversion of funds include a former Director of FiÂnance in the Office of the NSA, Shuaibu Salisu; a former Finance Minister of State, Bashir Yuguda; a former Sokoto Governor, Attahiru Bafarawa; the ex governor’s son, Sagir Attahiru and a firm, DalÂhatu Investment.At the resumed trial yesterday, counsel to the Federal Government, M.
