Former Nigerian winger, Finidi George, has tipped Spain as his favourite to win the 2016 UEFA Championship.Vicente del Bosque’s men have won the last two editions of the competition, and would play in Group D against Czech Republic, Turkey and Croatia when the competition gets underway on June 10 in France.Speaking after a charity match at the Bernabeu, the 45-year-old who was a starter in Louis van Gaal’s Ajax 1995 UEFA Champions League winning side claimed La Furia Roja are strong contenders for the title owing their football history, though cautious of what they can offer in France.“I do not know what can happen with Spain,” Finidi told Radio Onda Cero.And he explained further judging by their antecedents: “Spain is favourite for its history in football.”Spain begins its quest for a fourth title against Pavel Vrba’s Czech Republic on June 13 at the Stadium Municipal in Toulouse.
