Samson Siasia, coach of Nigeria’s Under-23 football team, has raised alarm over the abduction of his septuagenarian mother, Ogere. The 72-year-old woman was reportedly kidnapped on Monday in Odoni village, Bayelsa state.Appealing to the kidnappers to release Ogere, Siasia said she was solely responsible for taking care of his elderly and visually impaired father.“What do they expect from me? I don’t have money,” Siasia was quoted as saying. He begged the kidnappers to free his mother so that he could concentrate on his work at a training camp in Gambia where the Under-23 team are preparing to tackle Senegal as part of the qualifiers for Rio De Janeiro in 2016.
