Iheanacho’s Late Goal Saves Eagles

iheanachoA late goal from the spot by Kelechi Iheanacho helped save Nigeria from defeat in a friendly game played Thursday in Barnet against Senegalese national team. The match ended in a goal apiece.Moussa Sow gave the Senegalese side the lead with his early goal in the 54th minute from a cross by Idrissa Gueye.Iheanacho was able to hit the back of the net from the spot after he was brought down in the box by the Senegalese goal tender, Pape Ndiaye to draw level with only nine minutes to play.Nigeria’s next contender in the international friendlies, Burkina Faso holds on Monday, a match that may leave out Ogenyi Onazi who was taken off the pitch in the first 45 minutes of play due to an injury he sustained.
