Military Winning War against Insurgency- GOC

The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 7 Division of the Nigerian Army, Maiduguri, Brigadier-General Victor Ezugwu, has said the nation’s military is winning the war against insurgency in the country. Addressing journalists, the GOC added that, “We are winning the war. We are bringing the war to a conclusion, very soon. We want everybody to help us to support the peace that is emerging. “The peace is more enduring and more gratifying for us in Borno and other parts of the North-East of Nigeria. “I thank traditional rulers and NGOs that are stakeholders to us in the fight against insurgency. “Their accurate information, their support and advice to us have given rise to a growing civil/military relationship that exists between the military and the authorities in our areas of operations.”
