Korede Bello, a music artiste under the Marvin recording label, has been chosen by the Nigeria Police as the first youth ambassador”Ž of the Nigeria Police. This was done in a bid to help champion the message of peace to the youths across the nation. While speaking at the unveiling ceremony, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Solomon Arase, reiterated that they took this decision because any nation that neglects the import of its youths calls for an increase in crime and criminality in the country. He also said one would readily assume that crime generally emanated from the youths, but such formation and execution of crime in the country can change by engaging the youth, which was the reason for the event. In his acceptance speech, Bello pledged to use his talent to create awareness and promote peace among the youths for the Police.
