NSCDC urges communities to collaborate with security agencies

By

A call has been made by the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Delta State Command for a proactive collaboration between security agencies and the citizens in the area of security.

The call was made by the state’s Commandant of NSCDC, Beatrice Irabor, in Asaba in an attempt to assist the command to cater for effective security at the grassroots.

She said such collaboration with security agencies in the provision of facilities, would play part of the needful Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR).

Irabor offered that such responsibilities could be performed by means of personal or corporate donations of security equipment to security agencies.

The Commandant’s commendation was made to a family in Okpanam Community for donating a security post to the command.

Irabor commented that such donation is a laudable achievement in the area of proactive synergy between security agencies and the masses.

She also urged other individuals and corporate organizations to follow suit, accepting that security, which is a factor of societal growth without which development could not be possible, is everybody’s business and that its implementation should not be left to security agencies alone.
