Presenters for the best-picture award, Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway were accidentally handed the wrong envelope on stage.The producers of La la land were already making their acceptance speeches when Jimmy Kimmel, the host of the show, came on stage and confirmed Moonlight as winner.Presenter, Warren Beatty apologized to the confused audience, explaining he was handed the wrong envelope which read; “Emma Stone ”” La La Land.“That’s why I took such a long look at Faye”¦.I wasn’t trying to be funny,” Beatty explained.At the close of event, Kimmel took the blame for the shift in tides of award presentation, saying: “I blame myself for this.“I knew I would screw this show up, I really did.”However, ”˜La la land’ emerged the biggest winners from the 89th Academy Awards (Oscars 2017) taking home six awards.
