Troops have been withdrawn on Thursday from the streets of Brasilia, the Brazil capital by President Michel Temer after it appeared normalcy has returned following days of protests demanding he vacate his seat.Official online report confirmed the president’s change of action, which earlier requested for deployment of troops.Violent protesters broke into ministries and engaged riot police on Wednesday in recent violent cases in a year characterized by political unrest in the country.Government’s action of deployment of soldiers angered the Brazilians, especially in the capital unsettled by the violence and ongoing investigation to unravel the president’s involvement in corruption.
Brazil is a country which had once been under military rule from 1964 through 1985 and cases of troops deployment has been a concern.The Incumbent Temer succeeded leftist president Dilma Rousseff the previous year following her impeachment, which his predecessor described as planned political charges.Temer however risks impeachment sponsored by his political rivals.
